Groundwork for gratitude: A basic blessing for sacred moments

Briana Saussy, a writer, teacher, and counselor "dedicated to the sacred arts," as she beautifully phrases it, shared a blessing for the North Star Musings blog.

She said it is well-suited for Thanksgiving and other times of blessing. It is a blessing "that I often say over a client as we are about to go into a reading together."

A basic blessing for sacred moments

It begins simply, and grows in depth. We welcome you to use it yourself at your table this holiday:

"Thank you for this day.

Thank you for the earth beneath our feet.

Thank you for the skies above our heads.

Thank you for the breath running through our bodies.

Thank you for the blood running through our veins.

We ask that we are given eyes to see, ears to hear,
And hearts that know the right path to walk with wisdom and discernment.

May it be so."
